expelled vice presidential candidate Jusuf Kalla on Wednesday for
being the running mate of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who has a
military background.</p><p>The incident began shortly after Kalla arrived at a hall that
had been set up for a campaign rally. Upon their arrival, Kalla
and his entourage were blocked by dozens of students and
prevented from entering the hall.</p><p>The candidate was able to enter the hall through another door,
but students inside shouted at him repeatedly and demanded he
leave the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic Institute, prompting
