Kalisari Subdistrict Head Suspended Following AI-Manipulated Photo Response to JAKI Report
The East Jakarta City Government has suspended the Kalisari Subdistrict Head, Siti Nurhasanah, following a case involving the handling of a report on illegal parking in the Kalisari area, Pasar Rebo, submitted via the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) app, which was responded to with a photo manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
“Yes (she has been suspended), the process is currently at the Inspectorate,” said East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin in the Pulogadung area on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
However, Munjirin has not yet confirmed how long the suspension will last, as it awaits the results of the examination from the Inspectorate.
“The PPSU (Public Service and Security Unit) will come from the subdistrict head. We will follow up based on the Inspectorate’s examination results, whatever they may be,” he stated.
Munjirin also assured that his side has conducted guidance for all ranks to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
“The guidance was carried out yesterday; we held a meeting with all subdistrict heads, then related agencies in connection with public complaints,” Munjirin explained.
Previously, a netizen complained about illegal parking on residential streets in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.
The owner of the Threads account @seinsh stated that residents had reported the illegal parking issue up to the subdistrict level.
The reporter also claimed to have received follow-up evidence that was suspected to have been manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
“How do you handle illegal parking on subdistrict roads? Residents protested directly to the perpetrators without success, reported to the subdistrict level without resolution, tried reporting via JAKI and got fake evidence from AI edits,” she wrote in the post.
