Kalikotes Sub-District Government in Klaten Provides Transparent and Free Public Services

In an effort to improve transparent and high-quality public service standards, the Kalikotes Sub-District Government in Klaten Regency held a public consultation forum (FKP) at the sub-district hall on Thursday (9/7). The legal basis for the FKP includes Law No. 25 of 2009 on Public Services, Government Regulation No. 96 of 2012 on Public Services, and the Regulation of the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform No. 16 of 2017 on Guidelines for Organising FKPs. The 2026 FKP activity by the Kalikotes Sub-District Government aims to gather input, suggestions, and proposals from the community, particularly in building transparency and quality services, as well as responding well to public needs. The implementation of the FKP, which was opened by Sub-District Head Kliwon Yoso, involved various community elements, as well as regional apparatus units and the press. This involvement and synergy with the community is intended to improve service quality. Through the FKP, the Kalikotes Sub-District Government, as a public service provider unit, provides an opportunity for the community to convey complaints, suggestions, input, and ideas to improve service quality. “To improve the quality of public services, through this consultation forum we provide an opportunity for service users to convey suggestions, input, and ideas for improving public services,” he said. The Kalikotes Sub-District Government provides services for general legalisation, certificates of inheritance, marriage dispensation recommendations, land and building tax, identity cards, family cards, population movement certificates, and crowd permit recommendations. “Operational hours for public services at Kalikotes Sub-District are Monday to Thursday from 08.00 to 16.00 WIB, and Friday from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB. These public services are not subject to any fees, or are free of charge,” said Kalikotes Sub-District Head Kliwon Yoso. Regarding public services, community elements, particularly from the Village Consultative Body, claimed that services in Kalikotes Sub-District are quite good, smooth, transparent, and free from illegal levies.
