Kalikangkung Toll Gate, a Key Hub on the Trans-Java Toll Road, Ready to Serve Eid Al-Fitr Travellers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has ensured the full operational readiness of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate in anticipation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period. This gate is known as a strategic access point connecting vehicle traffic from the western region to the eastern part of Java Island.

As a key hub on the Trans-Java toll road, this access point plays a central role in supporting the mobility of millions of people during the Eid exodus and return journeys.

This gate serves as a meeting point for vehicles travelling from Jakarta towards Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java, as well as a gateway for distributing vehicle traffic back to the western region.

From a technical perspective, the Kalikangkung Toll Gate has 8 exit booths and 5 entrance booths, all of which are ready for operation.

Meanwhile, the Oblique Approach Booth (OAB) access point has 10 exit booths and 4 entrance booths to support the smooth distribution of vehicle traffic, especially during peak periods of the Eid exodus and return journeys.

JTT has also prepared a contingency plan in the form of additional staff for transaction services and dynamic vehicle queue management based on on-site conditions and at the discretion of the police.

Intensive coordination is also being carried out with the police, the Ministry of Transportation, and other stakeholders to ensure that traffic management measures can be implemented quickly and in an integrated manner.
