Kakorlantas: Synergy and Collaboration Are Key to Realising Traffic Safety and Order

The Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Wibowo, has instructed all ranks within the Traffic Corps and regional traffic directorates that synergy and coordination are the main keys to realising traffic security, safety, order, and smooth flow (Kamseltibcarlantas). He stated that traffic issues cannot be resolved independently by the traffic police function alone, but require the involvement of all stakeholders. Therefore, synergy and collaboration are crucial in achieving Kamseltibcarlantas. “We cannot work alone. When we talk about traffic, we are talking about the whole picture. There are roles for related stakeholders, local governments, civil society, including the community itself,” said Inspector General Wibowo at the NTMC Traffic Corps Building in Jakarta, Monday (6/7/2026). He emphasised that success in traffic management is not the result of a single party’s efforts, but a shared success involving all elements. “The success of traffic is not our success alone, but the success of traffic is the success of all of us. That is the tagline I want to convey to all of you, all because of us,” he said. In his briefing, the two-star general also requested all ranks to strengthen coordination and communication with stakeholders in their respective regions. He believes that good synergy will lead to optimal results in traffic management. “Coordinate intensively, continue to synergise with stakeholders in your respective regions. I do not want to hear of any disconnect between the traffic function and stakeholders. As long as communication is good, as long as coordination is good, I am sure the results will also be good,” he stated. Inspector General Wibowo concluded by urging all personnel to uphold the honour of the Traffic Corps by working professionally, sincerely, and with integrity. He called on them to serve the community wholeheartedly. “Let us together safeguard the dignity of the Traffic Corps, let us together change the face of the Traffic Corps by working as well as possible and sincerely. Leave behind all violations, in any form and no matter how small,” he concluded.
