The statement was delivered by Inspector General Agus at the Kamselindo Series II Safety Seminar held at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) in Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The seminar carried the theme ‘Safety Management System of Public Transport Companies within a Compliance System to Avoid Corporate Crime’.
‘With the consent of the Chief of Police, today we attended at the invitation of Kamselindo on a seminar about safety, compliance, and corporate units. This is quite good because we are discussing the importance of traffic safety,’ he said.
Inspector General Agus explained that the seminar brought together various parties to discuss five pillars of traffic safety, ranging from regulatory aspects to law enforcement against logistics transport companies. He noted that safety must be the top priority for all parties involved in the transport system.
‘How do we realise a safe and friendly logistics transport system so that accident incidents can be reduced, starting from formal and material requirements, through the investigation process up to its corporate aspects,’ he said.
The seminar was attended by several stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam), the Ministry of Environment, as well as players from the transport and logistics industry. The cross-sector presence was seen as an important step in strengthening synergy to build a national transport safety culture.
