Kakorlantas Launches Safety Campaign Through Song 'Mudik Tertib, Ojo Kesusu'
Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, launched a song titled ‘Mudik Tertib, Ojo Kesusu’ as part of a road safety campaign ahead of the Lebaran 2026 homecoming. Through the song, Kakorlantas invites the public not to rush when travelling home to their hometown.
The launch took place at a special event titled Special Event: Mudik Aman Keluarga Bahagia at Menara Bank Mega, Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/3/2026). At the occasion, Kakorlantas also officially launched the tagline ‘Mudik Aman, Keluarga Bahagia’.
Inspector General Agus stressed that the main message of the song is simple yet important: safety comes first.
“The title is ‘Mudik Tertib, Ojo Kesusu’, so there is no need to rush. Those who drive in an orderly fashion will, of course, be guaranteed a safe journey,” said Inspector General Agus.
He stated that the Lebaran homecoming is not only about arriving at the destination but also ensuring safety from departure to return. Therefore, he reminded travellers not to hurry and to continue to comply with traffic rules for the happiness of the family waiting at home.
“Not only must the departure be safe; the return must also be safe. It is as simple as: depart safely, return safely. That is so that the public can be joyful and enjoy the journey, especially during the mudik period,?” he added.
The meaning of the lyrics of the song ‘Mudik Tertib, Ojo Kesusu’, created by Kakorlantas Polri Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho and L-Bhara Band, emphasises the importance of patience on the road, avoiding excessive speeding, and mutual respect among road users. Meanwhile, ‘ojo kesusu’ meaning ‘don’t rush’ serves as a reminder for travellers not to be tempted to speed even if they want to reach their hometown quickly.
In addition to road safety, Kakorlantas also highlights security during the mudik period. He noted that potential criminal activity is a concern for the authorities so that the public can travel with a sense of safety and comfort.
“And crime-related matters are also a concern for all of us,” he added.
Through the launch of this song, it is hoped that safety messages can be more easily received by the broad public. With a light rhythm and down-to-earth lyrics, the traffic safety campaign is hoped to be more than a formal appeal, but a collective movement to realise a safe, comfortable, and joyful mudik.
Key figures present gave full support to the campaign, including the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia, Dudi Purwagandhi; Jasa Marga President Director Muhammad Awaluddin; Jasa Raharja President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantono; and CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung.
Also among those in attendance were Kakorlantas of that era, including Kakorlantas periods 2012-2014 Irjen (Ret) Pudji Hartanto Iskandar; Kakorlantas periods 2019-2021 Irjen (Ret) Istiono; and Kakorlantas periods 2021-2023 Irjen (Ret) Firman Shantyabudi. Including a number of senior police officials from Kakorlantas as well as traffic directors (Dirlantas) of regional police across Indonesia as a show of internal police solidarity.

Mudik Lebaran hati tenang
Tertib berlalu lintas jalan yang benar
Jangan ngebut, jangan main HP
Keselamatan harus kita jaga
Ayo tertib, ojo kesusu
Mugo mugo slamet tekan kampung halaman
Pulang kampung dengan hati gembira
Pengemudi hati-hati di jalan
Istirahatlah jangan dipaksakan
Mudik Lebaran ayo tertib
Patuhi aturan, jangan lupa berdoa
Mudik aman, balik bahagia
Lebaran ceria bersama keluarga
Ayo tertib, ojo kesusu
Mugo mugo slamet tekan kampung halaman
Pulang kampung dengan hati gembira
Pengemudi hati-hati di jalan
Istirahatlah jangan dipaksakan
Utamakan keselamatan
