Kakorlantas Holds Audience with Bali Governor; Bali Governor Fully Supports and Is Ready to Ensure the Success of Kemala Run 2026
Bali Provincial Government has expressed full support for the prestigious running event Kemala Run 2026. Bali Governor I Wayan Koster stressed his readiness to oversee the event’s success, which is expected to attract around 15,000 participants.
The support was conveyed after an audience with Kakorlantas Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, at the Bali Governor’s Office on Thursday, 5 March 2026. Also in attendance were Kombes I Made Agus Prasatya, Head of the Public Relations and Community Development Division of Korlantas Polri, and Kombes Turmudi, Director of Lantas (Traffic Directorate) of Polda Bali.
Koster described Kemala Run as a major programme that will have a positive impact on the public and on Bali’s tourism. ‘As the Governor, I must contribute to supporting what is envisaged by Kakorlantas, because this is a programme of the Chief of Police that we must succeed in together,’ he said.
Given that the event will take place in Gianyar, he said he would pay particular attention to accessibility, and that supporting infrastructure would be repaired soon to ensure comfort for the tens of thousands of participants. ‘The venue is very suitable and spacious; only the road access needs repair. Kakorlantas has also invited the Head of the Jalan (Roads) Balai to carry out repairs soon, and I will oversee this,’ he asserted.
Kakorlantas Polri Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho also praised the close synergy between the Police, Bhayangkari, and local government. He expressed optimism that hosting the event at the Bali United Training Centre will provide a new experience for runners. ‘Even more encouraging is that Kemala Run will be held in Bali and that the Governor has given extraordinary support. This is certainly a good collaboration to ensure the event runs smoothly,’ he said.
Kemala Run will be held on 19 April 2026. The selected venue is highly representative: the Bali United Training Centre, Gianyar, Bali. This year, Kemala Run carries a dedicated campaign under the banner ‘Charity for Indonesia’.
Ny. Deni Agus Suryo, Chairperson of the Kemala Run 2026 Committee, explained that this year’s event is dedicated specifically to humanitarian missions nationwide. ‘Kemala Run 2026 is themed Charity for Indonesia. In line with the directions of our General Chairwoman, and our Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Juliati Sigit Prabowo, we are inviting everyone to participate in humanitarian efforts,’ she said. ‘Kemala Run 2026 combines sport with fundraising. We want the public not only to live healthily but also to care for others. Proceeds will be channelled through the Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari for various social and humanitarian programmes,’ she added.
Kemala Run 2026 is expected to become a flagship sport-tourism icon that highlights not only competition but also strengthens national solidarity through a humanitarian movement.
