KAI Wisata Provides 30,712 Premium Train Seats for Eid 2026 Passengers
PT Kereta Api Pariwisata (KAI Wisata) has prepared a total of 30,712 premium train seats during the 2026 Eid transport period to accommodate the high mobility of passengers during the homecoming and return journey periods.
The Eid transport period is characterised by a significant surge in passenger travel as families seek to reunite. Travel is not merely a movement from one city to another, but represents a cherished moment of togetherness anticipated every year.
To this end, KAI Wisata has optimised the capacity of its premium services to ensure homecoming journeys remain safe, comfortable, and deliver a higher quality experience.
Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji, Director General of KAI Wisata, stated that service readiness has been thoroughly prepared to support the smooth operation of the 2026 Eid transport period.
“The Eid period is a time of exceptionally high population mobility. We are ensuring that all KAI Wisata premium services are ready to operate at optimal capacity so that passengers can enjoy safe and comfortable journeys,” he said.
The seat capacity provision represents part of KAI Wisata’s commitment to offering travel options with exclusive facilities, particularly for passengers travelling with families.
“We recognise that passenger needs extend beyond simply reaching their destination, but also encompass enjoying the journey itself. The Panoramic, Priority, and Imperial trains have been designed to deliver premium travel experiences that align with family needs during the Eid season,” Agus added.
In addition to capacity readiness, KAI Wisata has also ensured that operational aspects, onboard service standards, and safety protocols have been maximally prepared across various operational routes.
KAI Wisata is encouraging passengers to make bookings through the Access by KAI mobile application to guarantee seat availability and ensure a more comfortable Eid journey.
KAI Wisata operates 34 scheduled train services serving routes between Gambir–Bandung, Gambir–Yogyakarta, Surabaya–Bandung, Malang–Jakarta, and Solo–Jakarta.
