KAI Wisata Presents Cultural Entertainment to Enliven Eid Homecoming for 1447 AH
Jakarta — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) KAI Pariwisata, or KAI Wisata, is presenting cultural entertainment and breaking-of-fast provisions to Eid holiday travellers at the opening of the 1447 Hijri rail transport season as an expression of appreciation and to enliven the atmosphere at stations.
The Commercial Director of KAI Wisata, Hetty Herawati, stated that the company is offering cultural entertainment and various services to customers during the opening of the 2026 Eid holiday transport period as both an expression of appreciation and to create a festive atmosphere at numerous departure stations.
“One of our commitments from KAI Wisata is, as part of the KAI family, to provide entertainment. And today we can see there is traditional dancing, there is gamelan music creating a celebration, which we have brought specifically to entertain our customers present here,” Hetty said during an interview at Jakarta’s Pasar Senen Station on Friday.
She stated that the launch of the Eid transport on 13 March 2026 was being utilised by KAI Wisata to offer customers a different travel experience as they begin their homecoming journey by rail.
During this occasion, customers were treated to artistic performances such as traditional dancing and gamelan music brought in specifically to entertain the public before they began their journey home.
According to her, these entertainment offerings received enthusiastic reception from customers present at the station, with many enjoying the performances and capturing moments of togetherness ahead of their homecoming journey.
“Indeed, we saw many customers coming to watch and enjoy the performances,” she said.
Beyond cultural entertainment, KAI Wisata also distributed breaking-of-fast provisions to customers as an expression of appreciation to those utilising rail services during this year’s Eid transport period.
The distribution of food provisions was undertaken to enhance comfort for customers waiting for their train departures, particularly for those observing Ramadan fasting.
KAI Wisata views the homecoming journey not merely as a transfer from one city to another, but as an experience to be savoured in an enjoyable atmosphere from the moment of arrival at the station.
Therefore, the company is endeavouring to provide various entertainment and additional services so that customers’ journeys feel more memorable and offer a different experience when using the train.
She added that the entertainment programme forms part of KAI Wisata’s commitment as part of the KAI family in providing transport services that are not only safe and comfortable, but also memorable.
Through these activities, KAI Wisata hopes that the public will be able to enjoy their homecoming journey with a warmer, more festive atmosphere and create positive memories during the Eid transport period.
“Of course, in the coming days we will have several other events, but the celebration is happening today so that our customers’ enthusiasm for coming and travelling home reaches its maximum level,” Hetty said.
KAI Wisata is preparing approximately 30,000 premium tourist train seats during the 2026 Eid holiday transport period to meet the needs of those wishing to enjoy the homecoming journey with more comfortable transport services.
These seats are available through three tourist train services operated by KAI Wisata: the Imperial train, the Panoramic train and the Priority train, which offer premium travel facilities.
These three types of trains are designed not only as transport vehicles, but also to provide customers with a different travel experience during their long-distance journeys.
