KAI Wisata Ensures Fleet Safety for 2026 Lebaran Travel Services
Jakarta – PT Kereta Api Pariwisata, or KAI Wisata, has confirmed that its entire tourist train fleet is in operational readiness for the 2026 Lebaran transport season to ensure safety and passenger comfort during the exodus period.
Hetty Herawati, Commercial Director of KAI Wisata, stated that safety and security are the top priorities in tourist train operations, with all preparations undertaken well in advance of this year’s Lebaran travel period.
“Safety is certainly one of the key words, it is something basic, the most basic thing. We will ensure everything is secure and all preparations have been made well in advance,” Hetty said when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday.
KAI Wisata has also held an operational readiness ceremony to mark the commencement of Lebaran transport services, whilst confirming that all personnel are prepared to oversee passenger travel during the exodus and return journey periods.
During the Lebaran period, the company ensures all staff remain on standby without leave to monitor tourist train operations and maintain smooth service at various departure and arrival stations.
Beyond human resource readiness, KAI Wisata has also ensured that all tourist train facilities have undergone comprehensive technical inspections and maintenance before serving passengers.
This measure guarantees that each journey proceeds safely whilst providing reassurance to passengers using tourist train services during the Lebaran transport period.
For this year’s Lebaran transport season, KAI Wisata is offering approximately 30,000 seats to customers wishing to travel on its tourist train services.
These seats are available across three main tourist train services: the Imperial Train, the Panoramic Train, and the Priority Train, which offer a different travel experience compared to regular train services.
These trains are designed not merely as transport, but to provide comfortable journeys with various additional facilities for passengers on board.
KAI Wisata notes that the trend of travelling by tourist train continues to rise, particularly with the Panoramic service, which has become one of the most sought-after products by customers.
Through this service, passengers can enjoy journeys with wider views and additional facilities designed to enhance comfort during long-distance travel.
The company is optimistic that its tourist train services will remain a primary choice for the public during this year’s Lebaran travel period.
“Since we collaborate with our parent company KAI, we are 100 per cent optimistic, as this has never happened before for return journey tourism travel. So when people from other cities want to experience the quiet sensation of Jakarta during the exodus,” Hetty stated.
KAI Wisata has reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving service quality and operational readiness so that each tourist train journey remains safe, comfortable, and provides a memorable travel experience for passengers.
