KAI Urges Public to Await Official KNKT Investigation Results

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to act cooperatively and support the entire investigation and handling process that is still underway regarding the incident at Bekasi Timur Station on (27/4). During the Information Post that runs until 11 May 2026, KAI is also continuously receiving updates on the investigation process conducted by KNKT and the Police, including various information dynamics circulating in the public sphere following the incident. Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI, Anne Purba, stated that KAI understands the significant public attention and various questions regarding this event. However, all parties need to provide space for the official investigation process to run objectively, comprehensively, and based on accountable data. “This incident certainly raises a lot of public attention and questions. However, we invite all parties to wait for the official investigation results from KNKT and the relevant authorities, so that all circulating information remains based on facts and objective investigation results,” said Anne. Anne added that KAI will continue to support all processes carried out by the authorities and remain committed to implementing safety measures and enforcement of rules at level crossings in accordance with applicable regulations. KAI is also continuing to coordinate with all relevant parties until the official investigation results are announced by the authorised parties.
