KAI to Launch Discounted Train Ticket Flash Sale This Afternoon at 4:30pm WIB

PT Kereta Api Indonesia Persero (KAI) is launching a discounted train ticket flash sale with limited quotas across various routes.

According to the Government Communications Agency statement on Monday, 9 March 2026, the KAI flash sale will commence this afternoon at 4:30pm-5:30pm WIB. The programme is accessible via Access by KAI on the afternoon of 9 March 2026.

Through this promotion, KAI is offering various special fares. For instance, panoramic class train tickets start from Rp600,000, executive class from Rp300,000, and economy class Rp150,000. These promotional fares apply for train journeys during the period of 9-20 March 2026.

“KAI has stated that this programme is being introduced to provide the public with a more affordable alternative for holiday travel,” according to the official Government Communications Agency statement.

In addition to the flash sale promotion, there is also a Holiday Travel Promotion offering discounts of up to 30 percent on ticket purchases on 9 March 2026 today. This discount also applies to journeys during the period of 9-20 March 2026 subject to terms and conditions.

The government is also providing stimulus in the form of a 30% discount on commercial economy class railway tickets valid from 14 to 29 March 2026. To support the surge in passenger numbers during the Eid holiday transport period, KAI has prepared substantial capacity. Nationally, approximately 1.2 million seats are available.
