KAI to Implement Rp1 Fare for Jabodebek LRT on First Two Days of Eid 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) will implement a special fare of Rp1 for all routes and service lines of the Jabodebek LRT on the first and second days of Eid 2026, in accordance with government regulations.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin stated that this policy is part of the company’s commitment to providing increasingly affordable public transportation services to the public during the Eid holiday period.

“Eid is a time when people travel to reconnect with family, go on holidays, and spend time with loved ones. Through the Rp1 fare policy for the Jabodebek LRT on the first and second days of Eid 2026, KAI aims to deliver a pleasant surprise while encouraging more people to utilise safe, comfortable, and integrated public transportation,” said Bobby in Jakarta on Thursday.

He added that this special fare is expected to boost public interest in using the Jabodebek LRT as the primary choice for mobility in urban areas, especially amid the high volume of travel during the Eid holidays.

Additionally, passenger density management will be implemented at platforms, gates, and potential congestion points, with special attention given to priority customers.

From a systems perspective, KAI will make comprehensive adjustments to ticketing, including fare settings, gate readiness, and sales channels.

“KAI continues to strive to provide public transportation services that are relevant to the needs of the public. This special fare policy is expected to add value for Jabodebek LRT customers during Eid while strengthening the role of public transport as an urban mobility solution,” Bobby concluded.
