Bobby initially conveyed thanks to President Prabowo during a press conference at Bekasi Timur Station this morning, Wednesday (29/4/2026), alongside the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi. Bobby noted that the President and his team have given full attention to this incident.

“His attention is extremely significant, and the three of us held a brief meeting yesterday where he provided directions,” Bobby stated.

He mentioned that the President directed the handling of victims as well as repairs or evaluations to ensure such incidents do not recur. The President also, according to him, instructed KAI to restore services that guarantee safety and provide the best service to the public, given that rail transport is the backbone of transportation in Indonesia.

“We also extend our thanks to all parties who have assisted in the process, from rescue operations, victim aid, evacuation, treatment, to yesterday’s recovery of services or clearing the tracks of debris from the remains of KRL 5568,” Bobby said.

“We specifically thank Basarnas, TNI, Polri, and all hospitals that have treated the victims: RSUD Bekasi, RS Polri Kramat Jati, RS Mitra Plumbon Cibitung, RS Primaya Timur, RS Hermina Bekasi, RS Bella Bekasi, RS Siloam Bekasi Timur and Cikarang, RS Bakti Kartini, RS Mitra Keluarga Bekasi Timur and Barat, RS Dewi Sri Karawang, and RS MMC Kuningan,” he concluded.

It is known that President Prabowo Subianto visited RSUD Kota Bekasi. Prabowo reportedly visited the victims of the train accident involving KA Argo Bromo and KRL at Bekasi Timur Station. Prabowo entered the hospital directly.

Prabowo was accompanied by Mensesneg Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. The Mayor of Bekasi, Tri Adhianto Tjahyono, was also present.

President Prabowo Subianto expressed concern over the train accident involving KA Argo Bromo Anggrek and KRL at Bekasi Timur Station. Prabowo conveyed the government’s condolences.

“Today I came to Bekasi Hospital; of course, we are all concerned and shocked by the accident that has occurred,” Prabowo said after visiting the victims.

Prabowo then offered condolences. He also promised to conduct an investigation.

“I extend condolences on a personal note and on behalf of the government; we will soon conduct an investigation into how the incident happened,” he emphasised.

He then highlighted the many unguarded railway crossings. He stated that he would soon approve the construction of flyovers.

“But in broad terms, we note that many railway crossings are unguarded; we will address this immediately,” he said.
