Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has announced that all long-distance train (KAJJ) services from Gambir and Pasar Senen stations in Jakarta have been temporarily suspended following a collision between a Commuter Line and a long-distance train at Bekasi Timur Station.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, stated in Jakarta on Monday evening that the decision was taken to support the handling of the incident at the site while ensuring the safety and security of all passengers’ journeys.

“All long-distance train services departing from Gambir and Pasar Senen stations have been temporarily halted to support the handling process and ensure journey safety,” said Anne.

KAI listed several long-distance trains cancelled due to the incident as of 27 April 2026, including KA 120B Gunungjati (Gambir – Cirebon), KA 139B Parahyangan (Kiaracondong – Gambir), KA 140B Parahyangan (Gambir – Kiaracondong), and KA 22 Argo Muria (Gambir – Semarang Tawang).

Long-distance train services for departures on 28 April have also been cancelled, including KA 117B Gunungjati (Cirebon – Gambir), KA 56F–53F Purwojaya (Cilacap – Gambir), KA 58F–59F Purwojaya (Gambir – Cilacap), KA 143B Madiun Jaya (Madiun – Pasar Senen), and KA 17 Argo Sindoro (Semarang Tawang – Gambir).

Previously, PT Kereta Api Indonesia issued an apology to all customers for the incident, focusing on evacuating passengers at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi City after the accident between the Commuter Line and the long-distance train on Monday evening.

“We extend our apologies for this incident. Our current focus is to ensure that all passengers and crew receive the quickest and best possible handling,” said Anne.

“We are also continuously coordinating with all relevant parties on the ground,” she added.

KAI confirmed that all efforts are focused on the passenger and crew evacuation process, as well as handling victims at the incident site, with safety as the top priority.

Based on the information obtained, the Commuter Line was stationary on track 1 heading towards Cikarang or eastbound. Moments later, the long-distance train from the west entered the same track and directly collided with the Commuter Line.
