As a commitment to providing ease of transportation access, KAI Daop 8 Surabaya is presenting various attractive programmes. Among them is a 30 percent discount on KA Economy Commercial tickets, valid from 14–29 March 2026. From the total of 188,288 discounted tickets provided, 149,897 tickets have been sold, or about 80 percent, leaving approximately 38,000 tickets available for the public to utilise. In addition, KAI Daop 8 Surabaya is also offering the Tabur Berkah Hari Raya programme in the form of partial fares for popular routes to Yogyakarta and Semarang during the departure period of 22–30 March 2026, with a total of 21,411 executive class seats. “As of now, around 6,000 tickets are still available in that programme,” Mahendro stated. Not only that, there is also the Silaturahmi 2026 Programme with a 20 percent price reduction for the KA Ijen Express on the Malang–Ketapang route for the period from 30 March to 1 April 2026. Mahendro said these various discount programmes are part of KAI’s efforts to provide added value to customers while encouraging the public to switch to rail transportation. “KAI Daop 8 Surabaya still offers various discounted ticket options that can be utilised, so we invite the public to make bookings as soon as possible before they run out,” he said. He added that the high public interest in train services is evident from the peak mudik flow on 18 March with 30,293 tickets sold and the peak return flow on 24 March reaching 57,210 passengers. To ensure smooth and comfortable journeys, KAI Daop 8 Surabaya urges customers to arrive at the station earlier and not close to departure time. Additionally, customers are reminded to always look after their luggage and travel according to the route stated on the ticket. “We invite the public to take advantage of the various programmes that are still available. Besides being more economical, travelling by train also provides a safe, comfortable, and on-time experience,” said Mahendro.
