As the number of LRT Jabodebek users continues to rise, KAI is driven to develop supporting services in station areas to deliver a more practical and comfortable journey for passengers. This development is also part of KAI’s effort to respond to user demand for the availability of various services and daily necessities within the station environment to support their mobility.

As an urban transportation mode serving the community’s daily movements, LRT Jabodebek not only focuses on providing safe and punctual travel services but also strives to present supporting facilities that can help meet user needs during their journey or while in the station area.

The presence of tenants in station areas is expected to make it easier for users to obtain necessities quickly and practically, both before starting their journey and after arriving at their destination station. This step is part of developing a service ecosystem that supports the activities of urban communities with high mobility.

The need for these supporting services aligns with the continued growth in LRT Jabodebek ridership. In 2024, LRT Jabodebek served 21,055,870 users, increasing to 28,816,787 users in 2025. Meanwhile, in the period from January to May 2026, the number of users reached 13,211,856, an increase of approximately 23 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

Furthermore, the average number of daily users on weekdays also rose from around 100,000 users in 2025 to approximately 120,000 users in the January to May 2026 period. This increase shows that LRT Jabodebek is increasingly becoming part of the daily mobility of the Greater Jakarta community, so the need for easily accessible supporting services continues to grow.

Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, Radhitya Mardika, stated that the development of supporting services is carried out to provide additional convenience for users in carrying out their daily activities.

“The growth in user numbers shows that LRT Jabodebek is increasingly becoming part of the community’s daily life. Therefore, we continue to provide supporting services that can help users meet their needs more practically while in the station area or when using LRT Jabodebek,” said Radhitya.

According to him, the presence of tenants not only provides convenience for users but is also part of the effort to create a more comfortable travel experience and meet the needs of LRT Jabodebek users in their mobility.

“KAI wants stations to not only function as departure and arrival points but also become spaces that can support users’ needs during their activities. With increasingly complete services available, users can feel more benefits from using public transportation,” he added.

KAI will continue to open up collaboration opportunities with various business partners to present services that are relevant to user needs. Through the development of a commercial ecosystem integrated with transportation services, KAI will continue to develop supporting services in the LRT Jabodebek environment through collaboration with various parties who share the same vision of improving service quality for users. This step is expected to create a public space that not only supports the movement of people but also meets various community needs in carrying out daily mobility.
