KAI Serves 5 Million Passengers During Eid Transport Period

The number of long-distance train passengers during the 2026 Eid period rose 8.45% from 3,915,546 people in the 2025 Eid period. Local trains also increased by 6.20% from 792,082 people in the same period. “Customer movement was evenly distributed across various operational regions,” Anne said. According to KAI data, the highest growth occurred in KAI Regional Operations (Daop) 5 Purwokerto, which served 460,933 passengers, up 11.7% from 412,819 passengers in the 2025 Eid period. Next, KAI Daop 4 Semarang recorded 589,313 passengers, up 10% from 535,709 passengers.
