KAI served 195,141 LRT Jabodebek passengers during long holiday period

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded 195,141 passengers utilising the LRT Jabodecap services during the Ascension of Jesus Christ long weekend in 2026.

“During the long weekend from 14 to 17 May 2026, KAI served 195,141 LRT Jabodebek users,” stated Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.

According to the data, the highest number of users was recorded on Friday (15/5) with 61,703 passengers, followed by Saturday (16/5) with 46,567, Thursday (14/5) with 44,718, and Sunday (17/5) with 42,153.

Radhitya noted that based on data compiled between 06:00 and 14:00 WIB during the period of 14–17 May 2026, passenger mobility was dominated by trips originating from Harjamukti, Jatimulya, Cikunir 1, and Cikoko stations.

On Thursday (14/5), Harjamukti station recorded the highest number of users during the specified period with 2,055 passengers, followed by Jatimulya with 1,242 and Dukuh Atas with 1,210. On Friday (15/5), passenger numbers increased significantly, with Harjamukti serving 4,768 users, Jatimulya 2,373, and Cikunir 1 reaching 2,247.

On Saturday (16/5), Harjamukti remained the busiest station with 2,580 users, followed by Jatimulya with 1,413 and Cikunir 1 with 1,387. By Sunday (17/5), Dukuh Atas became the station with the highest usage, reaching 2,515 passengers, while Harjamukti served 1,976 and Cikoko served 1,150.

“The daily summary of LRT Jabodebek passenger trips was dominated by Dukuh Atas, Harjamukti, and Cikoko stations,” he explained.

He added that public interest during the long weekend demonstrates that the LRT Jabodebek has become a preferred choice for mobility during holidays. The transport mode is no longer just used for routine weekday commuting but is increasingly utilised by the public during long weekends due to its punctual travel times and connectivity to various strategic areas and other modes of transport.
