KAI Reshuffles Board, Appoints Former Pelita Air CEO Dendy Kurniawan

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has announced a reshuffle of its board of directors and board of commissioners following the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) held on 30 June 2026. Shareholders approved changes to the nomenclature of several directorate positions. The position of Director of Business and Business Development has been changed to Commercial Director, Director of Operations to Director of Operations, Infrastructure and Safety Area 1, and Director of Safety and Security to Director of Operations, Infrastructure and Safety Area 2. Other nomenclature changes include the Director of Facilities and Infrastructure Management becoming Director of Facilities Management, and the Director of Human Resources and Institutional Affairs becoming Director of Human Resources. This move is part of an adjustment to the company’s organisational structure. Along with these changes, KAI reassigned several directors. Awan Hermawan Purwadinata, previously Director of Operations, now serves as Director of Operations, Infrastructure and Safety Area 1, while Dadan Rudiansyah, previously Director of Safety and Security, becomes Director of Operations, Infrastructure and Safety Area 2. Atih Nurhayati, previously Director of Human Resources and Institutional Affairs, has also been given a new assignment as Director of Human Resources. These changes complete the management restructuring decided at the RUPS. Shareholders appointed Dendy Kurniawan as Commercial Director and Heru Kuswanto as Director of Facilities Management. Dendy Kurniawan was previously known as the President Director of Pelita Air and has also served as President Director of AirAsia Indonesia. KAI management confirmed that the change in management composition does not have a material impact on the company. KAI also assured that business activities will continue to run normally while prioritising compliance with laws and regulations and the implementation of good corporate governance.
