Long-distance train passenger volumes departing from the Jakarta region continue to increase as Eid 2026 approaches. On H-7 Eid, a total of 49,895 passengers departed using trains from the KAI Daop 1 Jakarta area.

Franoto Wibowo, Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop 1 Jakarta, stated that this data represents preliminary figures as of Saturday afternoon (14 March 2026). In addition to departures, the number of arriving passengers reached 30,841 customers.

“Preliminary data through this afternoon shows the number of departures reached 49,895 customers with arrivals of 30,841 customers,” said Franoto in a written statement on Saturday (14 March 2026).

Franoto explained that the increase in passenger volume has been evident since the Eid transport period began on 11 March 2026. On 11 March, 29,824 customers departed from the Daop 1 Jakarta area, whilst the number of arrivals reached 16,514 customers.

This figure increased on 12 March with departure volume of 40,178 customers and arrivals of 22,092 customers. A further increase occurred on 13 March, with the number of departures reaching 46,834 customers and arrivals of 23,549 customers.

Cumulatively during the period from 11 to 14 March 2026, the number of passengers departing from the Daop 1 Jakarta area reached 166,821 people. Meanwhile, the number of customers arriving in the area reached 88,325 people.

Today, the highest number of customer departures was recorded from Pasar Senen Station with 18,171 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 17,176 departing passengers and Bekasi Station with 6,317 passengers.

Departures were also recorded from Cikarang Station with 3,733 passengers, Jatinegara Station with 2,512 passengers, Cikampek Station with 1,160 passengers, and Karawang Station with 916 passengers.

Meanwhile, for passenger arrivals on the same day, Pasar Senen Station dominated with 10,168 customers, followed by Gambir Station with 7,711 customers and Bekasi Station with 5,954 customers.

“KAI urges members of the public who have already purchased train tickets to arrive at the station earlier and to pay attention to departure schedules to ensure that travel proceeds safely, comfortably, and smoothly during the Eid transport period,” it said.
