Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), through its subsidiary KAI Property, is developing transport-integrated housing in the Manggarai area, South Jakarta, to address the needs of urban populations and tackle the housing backlog.

KAI Property’s Corporate Communication Manager, Bramantya Candrika, stated that developing housing supported by transport connectivity is part of the company’s efforts to provide property solutions relevant to urban needs.

“With a strategic location in the Manggarai area, residents can have easier access to various activities supported by public transport,” Bramantya confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.

KAI Property introduced Maraya Residences at the Danantara Housing Expo 2026, which took place from 27–30 August 2026 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) PIK 2.

He explained that the company’s participation in the exhibition was to introduce property products that are not only oriented towards residential needs but also consider aspects of comfort and ease of mobility for urban dwellers.

Through a concept supported by public transport connectivity, he hopes the housing project can serve as an alternative for those requiring housing with strategic access in Jakarta.

According to Bramantya, the development of urban areas is driving changes in public demand for housing. Housing is now viewed not merely as a place to live, but is also expected to support quality of life and the efficiency of daily activities.
