Jakarta — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has mobilised hundreds of operational workers on the LRT Jabodebek network to ensure that transport services remain safe, reliable, and capable of accommodating increased public mobility during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.

“The operational reliability and service readiness of LRT Jabodebek are critical factors in supporting smooth public mobility,” said Executive Vice President of LRT Jabodebek Suryawan Putra Hia in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

Suryawan emphasised that the Lebaran transport period represents a crucial time for the company to ensure public transport services operate optimally amid increased public mobility. “The railway is one of the transport modes that the public heavily relies on, particularly during the Lebaran transport period,” he said.

During the 2026 Lebaran transport period, KAI will prepare 26 train sets and one backup train set for LRT Jabodebek. On weekdays, KAI will operate 430 LRT Jabodebek journeys. On national holidays, joint leave days, and weekends, the company will operate 270 LRT Jabodebek journeys.

“From a service perspective, we will strengthen operations by deploying 243 front-line officers, comprising 119 passenger service staff and 124 ticketing officers,” he explained.

Security has also been reinforced with 527 security personnel, comprising 499 internal officers (Polsuska and security staff) and 28 external personnel from the Armed Forces and National Police.

“Similarly, administrative and office staff will also establish Lebaran 2026 command posts at stations to support station officers in serving LRT Jabodebek users,” he added.

Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, stated that these measures are being taken to ensure the public can enjoy safe and comfortable transport services during the Lebaran period.

“LRT Jabodebek continues to make comprehensive preparations from operational, service, and security perspectives, so that users can enjoy their journeys safely, securely, comfortably, and on time,” said Radhitya.

KAI hopes that through these preparations, LRT Jabodebek will continue to be a reliable public transport option supporting public mobility during the Lebaran holiday exodus and return journey.

KAI has officially opened the 2026/1447 Hijri Lebaran Transport Command Post to ensure operational readiness and service delivery for LRT Jabodebek throughout the holiday period. The Lebaran transport command post for LRT Jabodebek will operate for 16 days, from 13 to 28 March 2026. The opening of the command post was marked by a troop assembly ceremony held at the LRT Jabodebek Division office courtyard on Friday (13 March) and led by Executive Vice President Suryawan Putra Hia.
