KAI: Long-distance train services from Senen-Gambir stations resume normal operations
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta has confirmed that operations of long-distance train services departing from Pasar Senen Station and Gambir Station have returned to normal following an accident at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4). “All services are currently running smoothly with on-time departures according to schedule,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Thursday. For the long Labour Day holiday period from 30 April to 4 May 2026, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will operate 68 regular train services, plus seven additional services from Gambir Station and one from Pasar Senen Station. The additional services include KA 7010C from Gambir to Yogyakarta departing at 05:15 WIB, KA 7006 Batavia from Gambir to Solo Balapan departing at 09:35 WIB, and KA 58F Purwojaya from Gambir to Cilacap departing at 13:25 WIB. Further services are KA 142B Argo Parahyangan from Gambir to Bandung departing at 13:40 WIB, KA 7008C additional from Gambir to Yogyakarta departing at 16:25 WIB, KA 30F Argo Anjasmoro additional from Gambir to Surabaya Pasarturi departing at 23:35 WIB, KA 126F Cirebon Fakultatif from Gambir to Cirebon departing at 23:55 WIB, and KA 7040 additional from Pasar Senen to Lempuyangan departing at 15:25 WIB. During this holiday period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will provide a total of 196,317 seats, with 95,897 tickets sold so far. The highest departure volume is recorded for Thursday, 30 April 2026, with 36,321 passengers, followed by Friday, 1 May 2026, with 26,993 passengers. “We also observe a significant increase in return traffic at the end of the holiday period,” said Franoto.
