KAI: Long-Distance Train Services from Senen and Gambir Stations Back to Normal
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta has confirmed that long-distance train operations departing from Pasar Senen Station and Gambir Station are back to normal following the accident at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4). “All journeys are currently running smoothly with on-time departures according to schedule,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Thursday (30/4/2026). During the long Labour Day holiday period from 30 April to 4 May 2026, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is operating 68 regular train services, plus seven additional trains from Gambir Station and one additional train from Pasar Senen Station. The additional trains include KA 7010C additional Gambir – Yogyakarta departing at 05:15 WIB, KA 7006 Batavia Gambir – Solo Balapan departing at 09:35 WIB; KA 58F Purwojaya Gambir – Cilacap departing at 13:25 WIB. Then, KA 142B Argo Parahyangan Gambir – Bandung departing at 13:40 WIB, KA 7008C additional Gambir – Yogyakarta departing at 16:25 WIB; KA 30F Argo Anjasmoro additional Gambir – Surabaya Pasarturi departing at 23:35 WIB. Next, KA 126F Cirebon Fakultatif Gambir – Cirebon departing at 23:55 WIB and KA 7040 additional Pasar Senen – Lempuyangan departing at 15:25 WIB. During this holiday period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is providing a total of 196,317 seats, and up to now, 95,897 tickets have been sold. The highest departure volume was recorded on Thursday, 30 April 2026, with 36,321 passengers, followed by Friday, 1 May 2026, with 26,993 people. “We also see a significant increase in return traffic at the end of the holiday period,” said Franoto.
