KAI Logistik Wins Indonesia CSR Awards 2026 for Sustainability Commitment
KAI Logistik (Kalog) secured ‘The Best Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2026, for Realizing Sustainable Social Development through Education and Economic Accessibility’ in the Logistics and Courier Services category at the Indonesia CSR Awards 2026, organised by WartaEkonomi.co.id. Vice President of Corporate Secretary Kalog, Dwi Wulandari, who received the award representing the company, stated that this recognition is tangible proof of the company’s consistency in integrating sustainability principles into its business strategy. This aligns with the development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices in Indonesia, which are increasingly integrated with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach. ‘We continue to deliver various programmes that not only provide social and environmental benefits but also create long-term value for stakeholders,’ she said.
Dwi explained that the judging panel used six main indicators reflecting the company’s sustainability practices: environmental aspects, social aspects, economic aspects, improving employee wellbeing, certification standards, and media sentiment. ‘The company was deemed to have demonstrated superior and balanced performance across all these aspects. This recognition was given for various initiatives undertaken, particularly in expanding access to education and encouraging community economic empowerment,’ she elaborated.
Dwi outlined that through the Gerbong Mimpi Anak Indonesia programme, provisioning free internet access for educational institutions, and distributing nutritional aid to vulnerable groups, the company strives to deliver wide-reaching and sustainable benefits. On the economic front, the company actively supports the development of MSMEs through various logistics service facilities that help enhance the competitiveness of small business players. ‘Regarding the environmental aspect, we run various conservation and sustainable operational programmes, ranging from planting trees and mangroves in several operational areas to implementing Green Logistics initiatives. This commitment is strengthened through the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, business process digitalisation, and emissions measurement,’ she added.
Furthermore, Dwi noted that Kalog continually promotes human resource development through various competency improvement and employee welfare programmes. The implementation of good corporate governance is also demonstrated by holding several international certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, and ISO 37001. ‘These various steps are reinforced by positive and consistent media exposure, reflecting public trust in the company’s performance and contribution to supporting sustainable development,’ she remarked.
Dwi added that this award is the result of the dedication of all Kalog personnel in creating a positive impact on society and the environment, and serves as motivation to continue strengthening the implementation of various sustainability initiatives that provide tangible benefits. ‘We believe that business success must run in tandem with social contribution, economic empowerment, and environmental preservation. Therefore, we will continue to develop programmes capable of creating shared value for all stakeholders,’ she asserted. In line with this, Dwi continued, the company is committed to supporting inclusive and sustainable development through various consistently implemented initiatives. The Indonesia CSR Awards 2026 serves as a driver for the company to further strengthen its role as a logistics solutions provider that is not only oriented towards business growth but also makes a tangible contribution to social, economic, and environmental progress in Indonesia.
