JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — PT Kereta Api Logistik (KAI Logistik) recorded positive performance during the Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri transportation period, with a total shipment volume reaching 5,740 tonnes. This achievement reflects the high demand from the public for reliable logistics services, particularly in supporting the mobility of goods during the Eid festivities. Manager of Marketing & Sales Courier at KAI Logistik, Ayi Suryandi, revealed that during this period, KAI Logistik’s services were dominated by parcel shipments. The highest shipment volume was recorded in the third week of Ramadan, when the total volume reached around 1,600 tonnes, equivalent to more than 86,000 shipments. This surge indicates increased distribution activities and public preparations for managing logistics needs ahead of the holiday. The cities with the highest shipment destinations included Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Semarang, and Malang. These regions became key logistics movement hubs during the Eid period, especially on Java Island. The figure represents an increase of about 68 per cent compared to the same period last year, which recorded 57,143 parcels. This growth is said to reflect the increasing trust of the public in KAI Logistik’s logistics services, particularly in meeting goods distribution needs during the Eid moment. Entering the Eid return flow phase, KAI Logistik has stated its readiness to once again optimise goods distribution services. “Along with the end of the homecoming flow and the start of the return flow, KAI Logistik ensures full readiness to optimise services starting today, 25 March 2026. The return flow momentum remains an important period in maintaining smooth goods distribution, both for individual needs and business actors,” said Ayi. In facing this momentum, KAI Logistik has ensured comprehensive operational readiness. The company is optimising human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as service systems to maintain smooth distribution. These operational readiness steps are implemented through the optimisation of operational staff at main service points, strengthened coordination between regions, and increased supervision.
