KAI Logistik Serves 90,000 Pets in First Half of 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Logistik (KAI Logistik) facilitated the shipment of 90,321 pets throughout the first half of 2026, aiming to support changing societal lifestyles while enhancing animal welfare in Indonesia.
Aniek Dwi Deviyanti, Director of Business Development at KAI Logistik, stated that the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing logistics services that align closely with public needs.
“Throughout the first half of 2026, KAI Logistik’s pet delivery service recorded a volume of 90,321 animals, a 21 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2025, which reached 74,637 animals,” Aniek said in Jakarta on Saturday.
According to her, this achievement reflects growing public confidence in pet delivery services that prioritise safety, comfort, and animal welfare. Furthermore, this growth serves as an indicator of the expanding pet ownership ecosystem in Indonesia, which has become a lifestyle component providing emotional benefits to the community.
Aniek noted that the growth in services demonstrates how logistics now plays a role beyond distributing goods, also supporting social activities and the quality of life of the population. She added that pets have become part of the family for many Indonesians; consequently, the need for pet mobility is increasing for purposes such as relocation, adoption, healthcare, and travelling with owners.
“KAI Logistik is here to meet those needs through delivery services that prioritise security, comfort, and animal welfare during the shipping process,” she said.
KAI Logistik implements animal handling procedures based on welfare standards, including the use of appropriate cages, the provision of sufficient food and water, and supervision by officers during the delivery process. This approach is part of the company’s commitment to maintaining service quality and ensuring every pet arrives at its destination in good condition.
Beyond facilitating the distribution of goods and trade, logistics now serves as a link for the mobility of families, pet lover communities, pet shop operators, breeders, veterinary clinics, and animal rescue organisations across various regions.
“With a continuously expanding service network, KAI Logistik strives to provide logistics solutions capable of reaching community needs more inclusively,” Aniek continued.
In line with ongoing service transformations, KAI Logistik is optimistic that pet delivery services will continue to grow alongside increasing public awareness of animal welfare and the development of the national pet care industry.
“Moving forward, KAI Logistik will continue to refine services to remain relevant to customer needs, particularly for pet lovers,” said Aniek.
