KAI launches Ramadan Festive 2026 programme with 30% ticket discount and flash sale fares
To increase public interest in using trains during Ramadan 2026, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has launched the Ramadan Festive 2026 promotional programme. The programme offers 30% discounts and flash sale fares for train tickets during specified periods. Luqman Arif, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 4 Semarang, reported that 69 train journeys in the Daop 4 Semarang region will receive this promotional ticket discount.
“Discounted tickets can be purchased through all official KAI sales channels starting 9 March 2026. The discount fares apply to train journeys departing during the same period, namely 9 to 20 March 2026,” said Luqman through an official statement on Sunday (8 March 2026).
The promotional programme applies to executive and economy class trains and does not apply to special fares. It cannot be combined with other reductions or discounts and may be cancelled or rescheduled as long as ticket allocation and discounted fares remain available.
Luqman added that the promotion represents appreciation to KAI’s loyal customers whilst encouraging the public to plan their homecoming journeys earlier at more affordable prices. “We hope this programme will benefit the public who wish to visit relatives earlier without waiting for the Eid al-Fitr moment, so that travel becomes more comfortable, safe, and smooth, whilst obtaining tickets at more economical prices,” he concluded.
The 30% discount applies to major trains such as KA Argo Bromo Anggrek, KA Argo Sindoro, KA Argo Muria, KA Argo Merbabu, KA Argo Anjasmoro, KA Harina, KA Gunungjati, KA Tawang Jaya Premium, KA Menoreh, KA Ciremai, KA Blambangan Ekspres, KA Dharmawangsa Ekspres, KA Kertajaya, KA Tawang Jaya, KA Matarmaja, KA Sembrani, KA Pandalungan, KA Brawijaya, KA Brantas, KA Ambarawa Ekspres, KA Sancaka Utara, KA Tegal Bahari, KA Gumarang, and KA Jayabaya on various routes connecting major cities including Surabaya, Semarang, Jakarta, Bandung, Pasarsenen, Blitar, Cilacap, Tegal, Jember, and Malang.
Flash sale fares are available on selected routes including KA Argo Bromo Anggrek, KA Argo Sindoro, KA Argo Muria, KA Argo Merbabu, KA Sembrani, KA Argo Anjasmoro, KA Harina, KA Gumarang, KA Jayabaya, KA Menoreh, KA Brawijaya, KA Brantas, KA Tawang Jaya Premium, KA Kertajaya, KA Dharmawangsa Ekspres, and KA Tawang Jaya.
