PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), or KAI, is launching a flash sale and homecoming promotion offering ticket discounts of up to 30 per cent to support travel needs during the lead-up to the 2026 Lebaran exodus. The promotion includes various service classes, ranging from Economy and Executive to Panoramic trains, with special rates during a specific period.

Feni Novida Saragih, Manager of Public Relations for KAI’s Yogyakarta Regional Operations (Daop 6), stated that the programme is designed to give the public the opportunity to plan their travels at more affordable costs. The flash sale offers Economy tickets starting from 150,000 rupiah, Executive tickets from 300,000 rupiah, and Panoramic tickets from 600,000 rupiah.

“The flash sale can be accessed through the Access by KAI application on 9 March 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM WIB,” Feni said on Sunday, 8 March 2026.

She explained that the promotional rates apply to travel on 9–20 March 2026. For tourist train services such as Priority, Imperial, and Panoramic, the rates apply to departures on 11–20 March 2026. Meanwhile, the 30 per cent homecoming discount is also available through all official sales channels that work with KAI on the same dates.

“The discount applies to travel during 9–20 March 2026, but does not apply to Luxury or Compartment train services or tourist trains,” Feni said.

The programme is expected to provide a more affordable transport option while encouraging the public to use railways as a safe and comfortable mode of travel. The promotion includes various service classes, from Economy, Executive, to Panoramic trains with special rates during a specific period.

“This promotion programme is expected to give the public the opportunity to plan their homecoming journey or travel by train at more affordable rates,” she said.

Feni revealed that the Yogyakarta Regional Operations area has relatively high customer mobility on railway services, especially in the lead-up to the Lebaran exodus. Therefore, various promotional programmes are expected to help the public obtain tickets at more competitive prices whilst increasing the use of public transport.

“Through this programme, we invite the public to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain railway tickets at promotional prices,” Feni said.

She added that customers are advised to book early as the promotion applies only whilst ticket allocations remain available. KAI’s Yogyakarta Regional Operations also commits to continuing to provide safe, secure, comfortable, and punctual transport services to all customers.
