KAI Jakarta: Platforms 4 and 5 at Bogor Station are Now Operational

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has stated that platforms 4 and 5 at Bogor Station are now ready to serve passenger boarding and alighting activities.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, said the platforms have been equipped with roofing and lighting to provide more optimal protection for passengers from both heat and rain, while simultaneously improving comfort and safety within the platform area.

“In line with increasing public trust in railway transport, KAI continues to upgrade facilities so that service quality can evolve alongside the needs and mobility of the community,” Franoto said in an official statement on Wednesday.

He noted that all platforms at Bogor Station are now equipped with more adequate protection against heat and rain.

“We hope this improvement makes customers more comfortable, both while waiting and during the process of boarding and alighting from the trains,” said Franoto.

Franoto emphasised that the service improvements at Bogor Station do not stop at platform facility upgrades.

KAI, he added, is continuing gradual developments, focusing on aspects of safety, comfort, accessibility, and station area integration.

Previously, KAI entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bogor City Government as part of a mutual commitment to improve and organise the Bogor Station area.

This collaboration is part of an effort to create a station area that is increasingly well-organised, comfortable, and safe, while supporting public mobility and intermodal transport integration.

Franoto reaffirmed that KAI is committed to ongoing collaboration with the Bogor City Government and stakeholders to ensure that Bogor Station serves not only as a point for passengers to board and alight but also develops further as a safe, comfortable, and integrated transport hub for the community.
