KAI Jakarta: Pangrango Train Carries 26,000 Passengers
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta reported that passenger numbers on the local Pangrango train service on the Bogor-Sukabumi route reached 26,533 passengers during the period 11-18 March 2026.
Franoto Wibowo, Manager of Public Relations at KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, stated that the train’s seating capacity for the period 11 March-1 April 2026 totalled 80,960 seats, with a daily seating capacity of 3,680 seats.
“Tickets sold reached 62,156, representing an occupancy rate of 77 per cent. The passenger volume on 18 March 2026 was 4,390 passengers,” Franoto said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, for the Siliwangi train service (Sukabumi-Cipatat), the cumulative number of passengers during the period 11-18 March 2026 reached 7,907 passengers.
“The passenger volume on 18 March 2026 was 916 passengers,” Franoto stated.
He noted that the seating capacity for the train during the period 11 March-1 April 2026 totalled 41,976 seats, with a daily seating capacity of 1,908 seats.
Overall, KAI provided 1,083,623 seats for long-distance and local trains during the 2026 Lebaran transport period. Of this total, 743,786 tickets had already been reserved.
“The average occupancy rate (seat occupancy) for the period 11 March-1 April 2026 was 69 per cent,” Franoto said.
