Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta has recorded 625,231 tickets sold from a total of 1,076,196 seats provided for departures from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen during the Lebaran Transport Period 2026.

“With that achievement, the current seat occupancy (occupancy) stands at 58 percent,” said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Sunday.

Franoto said the departure period from 11 to 20 March 2026 was the time with the highest sales, with 422,274 tickets sold by the public.

The dates with the highest sales include 18 March with 49,057 tickets, followed by 19 March with 48,291 tickets, 17 March with 47,986 tickets, and 16 March with 47,217 tickets.

“On several of those favourite dates, the remaining seats on 18 March were only 2,435 seats left, then 20 March 2,708 seats left, and 19 March 2,998 seats left,” Franoto explained.

For departures 11-20 March, remaining seats recorded as 81,797 seats, while 21-22 March remaining 22,429 seats.

Meanwhile for departures 23 March to 1 April, tickets still available reach 364,730 seats.

Through the Mudik Promo programme, KAI provides discounts of up to 30 percent for ticket purchases on 9 March 2026 for travel period 9-20 March 2026, in accordance with terms and conditions.

KAI also offers a Flash Sale programme for train tickets accessible via the Access by KAI app on 9 March 2026 from 16:30 to 17:30 WIB, with special rates including panoramic starting at Rp600,000, executive starting at Rp300,000, and economy starting at Rp150,000.

The flash sale rates apply to travel periods 9-20 March 2026 with a limited quota.

In addition, the government is providing economic stimulus in the form of a 30 percent transportation discount for commercial economy class train tickets from 14 to 29 March 2026.

Nationally, around 1.2 million seats are prepared, while specifically Daop 1 Jakarta has 329 thousand seats available, with around 77 thousand seats still usable by the public.

During the Lebaran Transport Period 2026, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates an average of 68 long-distance regular train trips per day, plus 12 additional trips from Gambir Station, 7 additional trips from Pasar Senen Station, and 4 free KA Motor trips.
