KAI Jakarta: 30 Per Cent Ticket Discount Available from 6 June

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has announced that a 30 per cent discount on commercial economy class train tickets can be booked starting from 6 June 2026 through all official KAI sales channels.

“For the departure period of 20 June to 5 July 2026,” said Franoto Wibowo, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

He noted that the discount programme is designed to enhance public mobility during the school holiday season while simultaneously supporting economic growth across various regions.

“This transport discount programme is part of the stimulus provided by the government through the Ministry of Transport to encourage public mobility and support economic growth,” said Franonto.

According to him, the school holiday period serves as a crucial momentum that drives movement to various regions. This mobility provides a positive impact on the tourism sector, trade, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and various economic activities that grow alongside increased public visits.

Franoto hopes that the public can take advantage of this programme by planning their journeys early to secure preferred schedules and destinations.

“Through this programme, the public can enjoy more cost-effective travel during the school holidays. We invite customers to plan their trips early and utilise the various conveniences of KAI services to support a safe, comfortable, secure, and punctual travel experience,” added Franoto.
