KAI Extends Ticket Discounts for LVRI Members Until 30 September 2029
Semarang (ANTARA) – State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has extended its agreement to provide rail-ticket discounts to members of the Indonesian Veterans Legion (LVRI) for the period from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029. Under the agreement, LVRI members can receive discounts of 50% or 30%, depending on the day of travel and applicable terms.
The 50% discount off the standard fare applies on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. A 30% discount applies on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, including public holidays and peak travel dates designated by the company.
To use the benefit, LVRI members already registered for the discount programme must renew their registration. Members who have not yet registered can apply to join in accordance with the applicable requirements. Both renewals and new registrations can be completed at Semarang Tawang, Semarang Poncol, Pekalongan and Tegal stations.
The discount will remain valid under the new cooperation agreement until 30 September 2029. It does not apply to special or promotional fares, urban or commuter trains, or themed trains.
KAI Daop 4 Semarang Public Relations Manager Luqman Arif said the extension provides certainty for LVRI members seeking to use the ticket discount during the agreement period.
“We urge LVRI members to check that their membership status and discount validity comply with the latest requirements. Members who need to renew their registration or apply can visit the designated stations so they can use the discount in accordance with the terms,” Luqman said.
KAI Daop 4 Semarang urged LVRI members to take note of the discount terms and plan their journeys before booking tickets.
