KAI Explains Why Bogor-Bound KRL Was Held Up for 30 Minutes at Universitas Pancasila Station

The journey of a Bogor-bound KRL commuter train on the Red Line, which was disrupted and held up for more than 30 minutes before entering Universitas Pancasila Station on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, has now returned to normal operation. The disruption caused the train journey to be halted from around 19:29 WIB. The train only resumed moving at 19:59 WIB after officers completed handling the issue on site. KAI Commuter explained that the delay occurred due to an operational disruption to facilities at Universitas Pancasila Station. VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that officers immediately handled the disruption as soon as it occurred so that the train journey could be restored. ‘There is currently an operational disruption to facilities at Universitas Pancasila Station and it is being handled by officers. We apologise for the operational disruption that occurred,’ said Karina. After the handling process was completed, the Bogor-bound KRL journey was resumed. The train, which had stopped at the entry signal of Universitas Pancasila Station, was finally able to enter the station and continue its journey. Once the KRL stopped at the platform of Universitas Pancasila Station, the number of passengers in the carriage increased quite significantly. Many prospective passengers who had been waiting during the disruption immediately boarded the train. This condition caused the carriage to appear full of passengers, as queues had built up at the station due to the travel delay. During the stoppage, KAI Commuter officers also provided information to passengers via the loudspeaker inside the carriage. The announcement explained that the journey could not yet continue because the train was being held at the entry signal of Universitas Pancasila Station due to an operational disruption. ‘Your train is currently being held at the entry signal of Universitas Pancasila Station due to an operational disruption,’ the announcement read. The information was conveyed so that passengers were aware of the cause of the delay during the journey to Bogor. After the operational disruption was successfully handled by officers, KRL travel on the Red Line towards Bogor gradually returned to normal.
