KAI Divre Palembang Distributes 30 Sacrificial Cows for Eid al-Adha
PALEMBANG (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Division (Divre) III Palembang has distributed 30 sacrificial cows to communities within its operational area for the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Adha celebration. KAI Divre III Palembang’s Public Relations Officer Aida Suryanti stated in Palembang on Tuesday (26 May) that the sacrificial cows were distributed through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme, with a total value of Rp730.8 million. ‘Eid al-Adha is a time to embody values of sincerity, sacrifice, and compassion by sharing sacrificial meat with those in need,’ said Aida. The sacrificial cows were distributed to communities along KAI Divre III Palembang’s operational routes, including Palembang City, Ogan Ilir Regency, Prabumulih City, Muara Enim Regency, Lahat Regency, and Lubuklinggau City. The aid was distributed to nine locations in Palembang City, two in Ogan Ilir Regency, two in Prabumulih City, three in Muara Enim Regency, nine in Lahat Regency, and one in Lubuklinggau City. Through the TJSL programme, KAI Divre III Palembang aims to strengthen harmonious relations between the company and local communities to support smooth railway operations. KAI Divre III Palembang is committed to participating in social activities that provide tangible benefits to the community. The distribution of sacrificial cows is one way the company shows concern for the social environment while reinforcing community spirit and mutual cooperation ahead of Eid al-Adha. ‘We hope this distribution of sacrificial cows brings happiness and benefits to the recipients,’ said Aida.
