KAI Deploys Hundreds of LRT Jabodebek Officers During Eid Holiday Season
JAKARTA – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has deployed hundreds of Jabodebek LRT workers during the 2026 Eid transport season.
The Eid transport period will run for 16 days, from 13 to 28 March 2026.
Executive Vice President of Jabodebek LRT Suryawan Putra Hia stated that the company has established an Eid Transport Command Centre to ensure operational readiness and service delivery during the peak holiday travel and return periods.
“The Eid Transport season represents a critical period for the company in maintaining optimal public transport services amid increased population mobility,” said Suryawan in an official statement on Friday (13 March 2026).
“Rail transport is one of the most relied-upon transport modes by the public, particularly during the Eid Transport period. Therefore, operational reliability and service readiness of Jabodebek LRT are important factors in supporting smooth population mobility,” he added.
During the Eid transport period, KAI will operate 26 Jabodebek LRT train sets plus one reserve set.
On working days, the company operates 430 Jabodebek LRT trips daily.
During national holidays, joint leave periods, and weekends, the number of daily trips reaches 270 per day.
On the service side, KAI has deployed 243 frontline officers comprising 119 Passenger Service officers and 124 Ticketing Officers.
Security has been strengthened with the deployment of 527 personnel.
Suryawan stated that office administrative staff will also be dispatched to stations during the Eid transport season.
“Similarly, office administrative staff will participate in implementing the 2026 Eid Transport command centre at stations, thereby supporting station officers in serving Jabodebek LRT users,” he said.
Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika stated that various preparations have been made to maintain safe and comfortable transport services during Eid.
“Jabodebek LRT continues to make comprehensive preparations from operational, service, and security perspectives, so that users can enjoy safe, secure, comfortable, and punctual journeys,” said Radhitya.
