Madiun (ANTARA) - PT KAI (Persero) Daop 7 Madiun channel CSR funds through the Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) programme and bina lingkungan to orphans and the underprivileged for Yayasan Abulyatama Indonesia (YAI) Madiun. Public Relations Manager of Daop 7 Madiun Tohari, in Madiun, East Java, on Sunday, said the amount channelled reached Rp37.5 million, symbolically handed over by the Daop 7 Madiun management and received directly by Nindya Mawarni, the chairperson of the Yatim Fest 1447 Hijriah committee. “The aid is manifested in the form of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah packages intended for orphans and the underprivileged. This aid is part of KAI’s commitment to social management with direct impact on society,” said Tohari. The aid is allocated to support Yatim Fest 1447 Hijriah activities, a social initiative designed as a space to share happiness and bring joy to orphans ahead of the holiday. Tohari added that the TJSL programme aligns with the company’s vision to create sustainable benefits. KAI strives to maintain a balance between business operations and moral responsibility to the environment. “We want to be present not only as a transport service provider, but also as a manifestation of care for the community,” he said. Additionally, he continued, through the bina lingkungan programme, Daop Madiun is committed to positively contributing to the social welfare of the surrounding communities.
