KAI Daop 1 Still Provides 63,000 Discounted Tickets Six Days Before Eid
Jakarta – A total of 63,000 tickets under a railway transport discount programme remain available as of today, six days before Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, for departures from various stations within the PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Jakarta Regional Operations Division (Daop 1).
The government is providing economic stimulus in the form of a 30 per cent discount on railway tickets for the travel period of 14-29 March, exclusively for the economy commercial class. Nationally, there are 1.2 million economy commercial class seats available.
“Specifically for Daop 1 Jakarta, there are 329,000 economy commercial class seats. The remaining seats (latest data as of 15 March 2026) stand at 63,000 seats,” said Jakarta KAI Daop 1 Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo in Jakarta on Sunday.
He stated that the 2026 Lebaran Transport period has been set from 11 March to 1 April. The company has provided a total seating capacity of 1,076,196 seats, with current total bookings reaching 705,727 tickets, leaving 368,123 seats still available.
Cumulatively, from the start of the 2026 Lebaran Transport period until today (11-15 March), Franoto said that the total number of passengers departing Jakarta reached 227,911 people, whilst the volume of arriving passengers was recorded at 114,661 people.
Regarding the monitoring of Lebaran travel flows across all stations within KAI Daop 1 Jakarta’s operational area today, he reported that the volume of departing passengers reached 52,008 people, whilst the arrival volume totalled 25,454 people.
He stated that the station with the highest number of departing passengers was Pasar Senen Station with 19,745 people, followed by Gambir Station with 16,528 people and Bekasi Station with 6,941 people.
To ensure smooth operations, Franoto said that the company has provided 68 regular train journeys each at Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations, as well as 12 additional train journeys from Gambir Station and seven additional train journeys from Pasar Senen Station daily.
He noted that Pandalungan, Argo Semeru, Gunungjati, Cakrabuana, Pangandaran, and Batavia have become the favourite trains for passengers at Gambir Station.
“Meanwhile, the favourite departure trains from Pasar Senen Station include Bengawan, Airlangga, Serayu, Kertajaya, Jayakarta, and Progo,” said Franoto Wibowo.
