KAI Daop 1 Reports Smooth Lebaran 2026 Transport Operations
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta has stated that the Lebaran 2026 transport period is running smoothly without any significant obstacles.
“As of today, 27 March, there are no significant issues in the implementation of this Lebaran transport,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Friday.
Nevertheless, Franoto noted that KAI conducts evaluations every afternoon to make improvements and enhance services to the public, particularly for those returning home for the holidays.
“We evaluate daily, with evaluations conducted every afternoon, and we will carry out improvements to enhance services,” said Franoto.
Furthermore, to maintain public interest in using train transport during Lebaran, KAI is offering the Silaturahmi Promo, which provides a 20% discount for executive class journeys.
The promo is valid for departures until 1 April 2026. The discounted fare does not apply to suite class compartment services, luxury, priority, imperial, panoramic, and other tourist trains.
“Ticket availability is still plentiful, with more than 100,000 tickets remaining for users or customers,” said Franoto.
In addition to the Silaturahmi Promo, KAI is supporting the government’s economic stimulus programme with a 30% discount on commercial economy class trains for the period 14–29 March 2026.
Specifically in the Daop 1 Jakarta region, around 329,000 seats have been prepared for the programme, with approximately 17,000 seats still available.
“Take advantage of the discount soon, as it is only valid until 1 April,” he said.
KAI Daop 1 recorded 51,975 passengers arriving at various stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta region, based on data as of 27 March 2026 at 09:00 WIB.
This figure is lower compared to the number of arrivals on Thursday (26/3), which was 53,132 people.
When arrivals are broken down by station, Pasar Senen Station and Gambir Station are the two main nodes for return flows. On Friday, the highest number of incoming passengers was recorded at Pasar Senen Station with 18,473 people, followed by Gambir Station with 15,230 people, and Bekasi Station with 8,662 people.
