KAI Daop 1 Records 51,975 Arriving Passengers on Friday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta recorded 51,975 train passengers arriving at various stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta region, based on data as of 27 March 2026 at 09:00 WIB. This figure is lower compared to the number of passengers arriving on Thursday (26/3), namely 53,132 people. “Entering the return flow, the volume of arriving passengers is also quite high, dominated by those from favourite destinations such as Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Purwokerto, and Bandung,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Friday. If arrivals are detailed by station, Stasiun Pasar Senen and Gambir become the two main nodes of the return flow. On Friday, the highest number of arriving passengers was recorded at Stasiun Pasar Senen with 18,473 people, followed by Stasiun Gambir with 15,230 people, and Stasiun Bekasi with 8,662 people. Meanwhile, the number of departing passengers from various KAI Daop 1 stations is lower compared to the number of arrivals. Based on data as of 27 March 2026 at 09:00 WIB, the number of departing passengers from Daop 1 is 31,683 people. By station, Stasiun Pasar Senen again recorded the highest figure with 13,733 passengers, followed by Stasiun Gambir with 7,913 passengers, and Bekasi with 5,154 passengers. Franoto assured that long-distance train tickets departing from Jakarta during the 2026 Lebaran Transport period are still available in sufficient quantities, especially for the return flow period until 1 April 2026. Based on data as of 27 March 2026 at 09:00, KAI recorded a total capacity of 1,083,674 seats for Long-Distance Trains during the Lebaran Transport period (11 March–1 April 2026), with an average occupancy rate of 81 percent. This means there are still 168,816 seats available, particularly for departures during the period from 27 March to 1 April 2026. “We urge the public to make bookings immediately so they can plan their journeys more comfortably,” said Franoto. During the Lebaran Transport period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has served hundreds of thousands of customers. In the outbound period (11–20 March 2026), 483,389 departing passengers were recorded, with the highest peak on 18 March 2026 at 53,576 passengers.
