KAI Conducts Health Examinations for Jabodebek LRT Operators
Ahead of the 2026 Lebaran transport season, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) conducted health examinations for Jabodebek LRT operational staff as part of preparations for ensuring safe and reliable public transport operations during the peak holiday period.
The examinations aimed to ensure all operational personnel were in optimal health to support safe and dependable public transport operations during the 2026 Lebaran season. The activity took place in the Crew Training Room on the 4th floor of the LRT Jabodebek Operation Control Centre (OCC) on Tuesday, 10 March, and involved 40 personnel representing train attendants, station officers, and station heads.
During the activity, staff underwent blood tests and urine examinations as a preventive measure to assess the physical readiness of personnel directly involved in Jabodebek LRT operations.
Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, stated that the health examinations were part of the company’s efforts to maintain human resource readiness ahead of the 2026 Lebaran transport period.
“These health examinations are conducted to ensure operational staff are in good health and ready to perform their duties. With optimal physical condition, staff can provide excellent service to Jabodebek LRT users,” he said.
Beyond the health examinations, the activity also included a nutrition education session delivered by Dr Fenny, M.Gizi, SpGK, AIFO-K, a clinical nutrition specialist from Hermina Grand Wisata Hospital. The session emphasised the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits, particularly for staff working shift-based schedules, to maintain good stamina and physical resilience whilst performing operational duties.
He added that although Jabodebek LRT operates with an automatic system without engine drivers, the company continues to station train attendants on trains to ensure service quality, safety, and passenger security. Through these health examination and nutrition education activities, KAI hopes all operational staff will maintain their physical condition and adopt healthy lifestyle practices, ensuring service to the public remains safe and comfortable throughout the 2026 Lebaran transport season.
