Jakarta (ANTARA) - KAI Commuter services have become the preferred choice for local returnees seeking to visit family in the Jabodetabek region on H+1 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, when contacted in Jakarta on Sunday, stated that based on monitoring during the Lebaran transport period from 11-21 March, it has carried a total of 9,460,099 passengers.

“Meanwhile, for today up to 13:00 WIB, the number of Commuter Line users in the Jabodetabek region has reached 231,805 people,” said Karina.

As of Sunday afternoon, the highest passenger volume per route was observed on the Bogor Line with 98,912 people, followed by the Cikarang Line with 61,029 people, and the Rangkasbitung Line with 48,680 people.

Furthermore, Karina mentioned that the stations with the highest passenger volumes include Bogor Station with 22,836 people, Rangkasbitung Station with 10,681 people, and Cikarang Station with 9,175 people.

For integration stations where passengers switch modes, Cawang Station recorded 4,957 people, Sudirman Station 6,133 people, Cikarang Station 9,175 people, and Rangkasbitung Station 10,681 people.

Meanwhile, the top three transit stations include Manggarai Station with a transit volume of 104,741 people, Tanah Abang Station with 74,715 people, and Duri Station with 43,699 people.

“In the same period, the passenger volume for Commuter Line Basoetta and Commuter Line Merak stood at 2,023 people and 16,070 people, respectively,” Karina added.

With the high seasonal passenger mobility, KAI Commuter advises all users to always be cautious in safeguarding their belongings, place luggage on the overhead racks, and ensure it remains in sight.

“We have also deployed frontliner staff to assist if any information is needed,” said Karina.

To facilitate Commuter Line journeys, users can utilise the C-Access application to monitor train schedules, train positions, nearby stations, and top up Multi Trip Cards. Do not forget to plan your trip in advance.

“Double-check your belongings and avoid rushing when alighting from the train, watch the platform gap, and prioritise passengers exiting the Commuter Line,” said Karina.
