KAI Cirebon Serves 273,002 Passengers During Eid 2026
During the 16-day Eid travel period in 2026, from 11 March to 26 March, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI Regional Operations 3 Cirebon served 273,002 customers. “This number consists of 122,555 customers departing or boarding and 150,447 customers arriving or alighting. This figure comes from a number of stations in the working area of KAI Daop 3 Cirebon,” said the Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 3 Cirebon, Muhibbuddin, on Friday, 27 March 2026. During the 16-day Eid travel period in 2026, KAI Daop 3 Cirebon also operated 2,539 trains. The peak arrival of returnees occurred on 19 March 2026 with 11,395 people. Meanwhile, the peak return flow occurred on 22 March 2026, with 13,748 people departing from various stations in the KAI Daop 3 Cirebon region. “We predict there will be another surge in the second wave of return traffic on 28, 29, and 30 March 2026 in line with school activities starting on 30 March 2026,” said Muhibbuddin. In addition, the On Time Performance (OTP) achievement for train journeys reached 100 percent for departure punctuality and also 100 percent for arrival punctuality. “The OTP improvement is more than just a number, but part of efforts to create a better travel experience for customers. Punctuality is our appreciation for our customers’ time,” said Muhibbuddin. Muhibbuddin also expressed thanks to all loyal customers who have chosen rail transport as a means for Eid homecoming and return.
