KAI Cirebon Diverts Routes and Services Due to KA Bangunkarta Disruption
Cirebon (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 3 Cirebon has diverted train routes, provided bus services, and cancelled several trips to minimise the impact of the operational disruption to the KA Bangunkarta train on the Jombang-Pasarsenen route at Bumiayu Station in Central Java. Manager of Public Relations for Daop 3 Cirebon, Muhibbuddin, confirmed in Cirebon, West Java, on Monday that these measures were taken to ensure smooth service for affected customers. He explained that the disruption occurred when the KA Bangunkarta train derailed on Monday (6/4) at 14:15 WIB at KM 312+1 at Bumiayu Station, causing delays to several train journeys. According to him, several trains heading towards Purwokerto have been rerouted via the northern Semarang line and then to Solo. The company has also cancelled several train journeys from Jakarta to Purwokerto and vice versa as part of operational adjustments. He detailed that the cancelled trains include KA Sawunggalih on the Kutoarjo-Pasarsenen route and vice versa, KA Taksaka on the Yogyakarta-Gambir route and vice versa, KA Purwojaya on the Gambir-Kroya-Cilacap route and vice versa, as well as KA Bogowonto on the Pasarsenen-Lempuyangan route. βAll KAI personnel are working maximally to resolve the handling quickly and restore train services to normal,β he said.
