Indramayu — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operating Region (Daop) 3 Cirebon, West Java, has deployed 338 personnel to support the smooth operation and safety of rail transport services during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period in the region.

The Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 3 Cirebon, Muhibbuddin, stated in Indramayu on Tuesday that the personnel comprise 102 Railway Special Police (Polsuska) members, 166 internal security officers, and 70 external personnel from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police (Polri).

These personnel will provide security on trains, at station facilities, and conduct mobile patrols along rail routes and other critical infrastructure.

“Hundreds of personnel will support smooth rail transport operations during the Eid holiday travel period, which runs from 11 March to 1 April 2026, or 10 days after Eid al-Fitr,” he said.

Security operations will be conducted at vital railway operational points including locomotive and train depots, as well as along the entire rail routes used for train operations.

In addition to security, the service has enhanced passenger assistance by adding eight Mobile Customer Service (CSM) officers stationed at Cirebon Station and Cirebon Prujakan Station.

“These officers will provide travel information and assist users during the outbound and return journey periods of the Eid holiday,” he said.

Furthermore, Daop 3 Cirebon has engaged 40 volunteers from railway enthusiast communities including IRPS Cirebon Regional Coordination, Edan Sepur Cirebon, and KRD3 to assist with passenger information services.

These volunteers will be positioned at high-traffic stations including Cirebon, Cirebon Prujakan, Brebes, Jatibarang, and Haurgeulis stations.

On the health front, the service has arranged 21 medical staff comprising doctors and paramedics, with ambulances stationed at major stations on 24-hour standby.

“Health services are available at Cirebon, Cirebon Prujakan, Jatibarang, Arjawinangun, and Brebes stations, and are coordinated with hospitals and health centres along the entire rail route,” he said.

Muhibbuddin noted that the peak arrival of passengers or outbound travel rush will occur three days before Eid (18 March 2026), whilst the peak return journey is estimated to occur two days after Eid (23 March 2026).

“During the Eid holiday transport period, a total of 171 train journeys will operate daily, comprising 131 regular trains and 40 additional services,” he said.
