KAI: Bekasi Timur Station Resumes Normal Operations and Serves Passengers
Jakarta, VIVA – Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or PT KAI, Anne Purba, stated that Bekasi Timur Station has now resumed operations and is serving KRL passengers, following operational trials that proceeded smoothly.
She explained that after various stages of those trials, KRL services on the Bekasi–Cikarang line have resumed operations starting at 2:00 PM WIB.
“KAI ensures that all stages of service recovery are carried out gradually, measurably, and with a principle of caution,” said Anne in her statement on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.
KAI emphasised that safety aspects are the top priority in every handling and operational recovery process.
The entire process has undergone thorough inspections to ensure the safety and security of train journeys as well as the comfort of service users.
“KAI is committed to always prioritising safety in every operation. The reopening of services at Bekasi Timur Station was carried out after ensuring that all safety aspects have been met,” Anne stated.
With the resumption of operations at Bekasi Timur Station and the normalisation of KRL services on the Bekasi–Cikarang line, it is hoped that public mobility can run smoothly again, particularly for KRL users in the Bekasi, Cikarang, and surrounding areas.
“KAI also expresses thanks for the patience and understanding of customers during the handling and recovery process,” she added.
