KAI Apologises for Access by KAI Disruption, System Recovery Underway
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has apologised to all customers for a disruption to its Access by KAI service that occurred on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba stated that customers can still purchase tickets through the KAI Contact Centre 121 and at station counters. “On behalf of KAI, we apologise for the inconvenience experienced by customers. We understand the need for customers to continue to have access to ticket purchases and travel information,” Anne said. As part of the system recovery and strengthening process, KAI will carry out system maintenance starting at 21:00 WIB. During this period, ticket bookings can only be made offline through station counters. KAI is targeting the restoration of online ticket purchasing services by 23:00 WIB. “Our team is working continuously to ensure the recovery process runs smoothly and services can be used by customers as targeted. Once again, we apologise and thank all customers for their patience and understanding,” Anne concluded.
